Normalize every phone number on create

The same number arrives twenty ways: spaces, dashes, leading zeros, missing country codes. Dialler integrations fail and duplicate detection misses obvious matches.

Format Data normalizes to E.164 as records are created, so every number is stored in one shape and downstream tools can rely on it.

1. 1Enrol contacts on create, and again when the phone property changes.
2. 2Add Format Data and choose Phone: Normalize to E.164.
3. 3Pass the phone as Input 1 and your default country code, for example 91, as Input 2.
4. 4Copy the result back onto the phone property with a Copy property step.

• Text: case, trim, replace, substring
• Numbers: round, format, currency, percentage, arithmetic
• Dates: format, add days, difference, now
• Phone: normalize to E.164 and validate
