Good to know
- Date-typed HubSpot properties store midnight UTC; adding partial days can shift the calendar day depending on timezone. Prefer whole units.
- For business-day math that skips weekends, clone the Add business days system snippet from the snippet library.
Use cases
Set a renewal date one year out
On close, add 12 months to the close date and write it to renewal_date.
Compute an SLA due date
Add 5 days to the ticket create date into sla_due; pair with business-day logic via the snippet library when weekends matter.
Feed Unix timestamps to an API
Reformat a date property to unix_ms before sending it out with Send Webhook.
Frequently asked questions
Can I subtract time as well as add it?
Yes. Enter a negative amount, for example minus 30 days, to shift a date backwards.
Which properties can I read and write?
The read dropdown lists only date and datetime properties on the enrolled record. The write dropdown lists editable properties, so you cannot accidentally target a calculated field.
Can it skip weekends for SLA dates?
The action counts calendar time. For business-day logic, clone the Add business days snippet from the system snippet library and run it with the Run Custom Code action.
